When accessing files (either saving or opening) on your computer, do not use "Desktop", "Documents", and "Downloads" folders, as these refer to locations on the Virtual Lab Server. The following steps assume that you have already installed and accessed Citrix Workspace. If you have an order version of Citrix installed, it may be called "Citrix Receiver," as shown in the screenshots below, but the behavior will be the same.

  1. Open Citrix Workspace using the Launchpad or the Applications folder.
  2. Choose "Preferences in the Citrix Workspace menu in the Menu Bar.
  3. Choose the "Devices" tab, then choose the level of access to your local storage (the storage on your computer) that you want Virtual Lab applications to have. Please Note: "Read and Write" access is recommended.
  4. Open the application you're using to access your files via Virtual Lab, and click either "Open" or "Save" when needed.
  5. Look for a location listed at "Local Disk (C: on ComputerName)," where "ComputerName" reflects what you've called your Mac.
  6. Access your files by going to Users, then selecting your username. This will take you to your home folder, where you can access your desktop, documents, and other personal files and folders.
