Today (05/11/2021) Microsoft released a new version of Outlook 2104, Build 13929.20372. Anyone running this may have found that after the update they can no longer properly see or send new emails. You may only be able to see the headers in some emails. Below are the steps to resolve this. 


  1. Open command prompts by typing CMD in the Start menu then right clicking on Command Prompt then clicking Open as Administrator. 
  2. Type the following in and press enter. 
    cd "C:\Program Files\Common Files\microsoft shared\ClickToRun"
  3. Now type the following in and press enter. 
    officec2rclient.exe /update user updatetoversion=16.0.13901.20462
Office will begin rolling back versions. This could take some time depending on your internet speed. You will then be prompted to close office programs when it is ready to install the roll back to the previous version
