Duo and Account Lockouts
In the event of a Duo or account lockout, you will need to contact the KU IT service desk at (785) 864-8080, Duo is not managed by CPPR IT.
• During the account reset process, KU IT may ask you to provide a KU employee ID. This is different from the alphanumeric username used to login, and it is different from your state of Kansas employee ID, typically starting with a J for Jayhawk if you started with the State of Kansas at KU.
• To access your KU employee ID, there are two options:
o KU HRM
o Paystubs
• To access this via HRM, call HRM at (785) 864-4946 and ask to be provided with your KU employee ID number. HRM will ask you to provide a KU ID and a government photo ID either in person or over a video call.
• If you have a paystub saved, you can access your KU Employee ID number in the second box over, starting with Employee ID:
• After accessing this number, you may call the KU IT Help Desk (option 3) and follow their instructions for accessing your account or navigate back to account.ku.edu to reset your account.
Please note: KU IT and/or CPPR IT will never ask you for your password or any other sensitive information beyond what is outlined in this announcement. If you suspect unauthorized attempts to access your account, please contact CPPR IT.
