To use the licensed version of Zoom connected to your KU account, you'll need to access via single sign-on, not the email address & password options. There are two ways to manage this:
In the Browser
- Go to kansas.zoom.us and click "Sign In."
Please Note
If the KU Zoom page automatically redirects you to zoom.us, clear your browser's cache & cookies and try again.
-
Click "Sign in." This will take you to the KU single sign-on page.
-
Fill in your online ID and password, and click "Login."
- If you are active faculty and staff, you will be prompted to authenticate with Duo.
This will take you to your Zoom profile page, which includes details about your account, including your personal meeting ID and your license status.
In the Zoom Client
-
Open the Zoom client on your computer and click "Sign In."
-
Select "Sign in with SSO." This may be located to the right side of a sign in form requesting your email address and password.
-
Enter "kansas" in the text field next to ".zoom.us," if it is not already filled in, and click "Continue."
-
Log in to your KU account using the single sign-on page that opens in your browser. After signing in, you will be prompted to open up the Zoom client. Click "Launch Zoom," or the browser-equivalent in your browser of choice. This will open the main Zoom screen.
Confirm Your Login
Some confusion has been caused by the fact that users can create a personal Zoom account using their KU email address when signing in. To confirm if you're logged in to the KU licensed account or a personal account using your KU email address, go to your Zoom profile to view the license status or click your avatar in the upper right corner (either in the Zoom client or on the Zoom website) to view your licensed status. If you're seeing "Basic" in either place, sign out and sign back in using the SSO.
