Make a Teams PWA App with Google Chrome


  1. Open Google Chrome
  2. Navigate to teams.microsoft.com
  3. Login if you are not already.
  4. Wait for teams to fully load in the browser.
  5. Make sure you are on the KU instance if you are not already.
  6. Once Teams is loaded in Chrome, in the upper right hand corner click on the 3 dot menu
  7.

  1. Scroll down to More Tools, then click “Create Shortcut”

  2. A Pop up window will appear at the top center of Chrome, Rename this to KU Teams or whatever makes sense to tell this apart from.  Make sure to check “Open as Window” then click create.

  3. You will now have a 2nd teams icon on the far right of your taskbar, right click it and pin to taskbar if you haven’t done so already.

  4. Now  you are able to run both your in house teams and KU teams at the same time.
